I Made It!

HEEEEERRREEEEE!!! :)

Bon Dia Everyone. That is how we say goodmorning here on the island of Bonaire. I arrived on this beautiful island at about 2:15pm on Saturday, August, 28th. The group I was with had to wait at the airport til about 4 though because one of the boys suitcases didnt make it (ahh I would have freaked out!)

Anyways, we got picked up by 2 interns , John and Alex, and headed to our house where we were greeted by the 2 other interns Sarah and Mary. When I got to the house, I met my roomie Rachael. She is from Long Island and goes to Ursinius College in PA! She's great we get along so well. I then unpacked a bit and headed to Orientation 1 which started at 5pm! Not much time to get settled in at all! During Orientation 1 I met everyone in the house. There are 16 total students and 4 interns in our house! But don't fret, the house is huge. Our house has 7 rooms and each room has its own bathroom. The house is surrounded by a 9 foot gate and each room in the house has a security system. So, I feel rather safe here.

After Orientation 1 a bunch of us decided to go out for the night. 12 of us pre gamed on the roof of our house then hit the bars. First we went to Karls bar. Karls is an outdoor bar on a pier and the music was pumping so of course we started dancing. But the thing is, we had to start the party because we were the only ones there. After hanging out there for a bit, we went to Havanas bar. Havanas was a cute little bar, where we met some locals. Everyone started heading back so I did too. Osha, Andrew, Michael and I decided we wanted to test out the ocean though, so we dove right in, clothes in all. It was fun. We then walked back to the house and called it a night, well after I set off the alaram! The security system is crazy!
